A Grateful Year-End Update

How generosity shaped this year.

Hello SCC Family,

As the year draws to a close, the generosity of this church continues to stand out in meaningful ways. Weekly giving has remained steady and encouraging throughout the year. As we stepped into new opportunities and released some savings along the way, your faithfulness has helped ensure that our year-end shortfall will be much smaller than originally anticipated.

Your faithful generosity has enabled SCC to care well for people and to create room to serve Summerside and beyond with clarity and purpose. Over and above giving this year has helped support those stepping into mission and ministry, including Joel, Jazmyn, Isaac, Colby, and others who are preparing to serve locally and globally.

Your consistent support has been a steady encouragement. It is evident that God is at work among us, shaping a community that responds with trust, gratitude, and open-handed generosity.

As we look toward 2026, the Finance Committee is praying for wisdom as SCC prepares for the year ahead. End-of-year giving helps us finish this year well and step into the next season with faith and readiness. Those planning a year-end gift are invited to consider SCC as they prayerfully discern their giving.

A few practical reminders for year-end donations:

  • All gifts must be received or postmarked by December 31 to be included on the 2025 tax receipt.

  • Cheques that will not be given on December 28 can be placed in the SCC mailbox by the evening of December 31.

  • Online giving and e-transfers can be made at any time before midnight on December 31.

Every contribution strengthens the ministry of SCC and supports both local and global mission partners. These gifts help extend care, teaching, hospitality, and hope to people within our church family and throughout the wider community.

With gratitude for every act of generosity, the Finance Committee prays that the peace of Jesus would rest on each home. May these final days of the year draw our hearts toward His hope and presence.

Grace and peace,
SCC Finance Committee
