A New Look. The Same Invitation.

Jesus continues to shape hearts, and we’re glad you’re here.

Hey there SCC Family !
Welcome to The Bridge Weekly. Thanks for taking a few moments to connect this week.

Every heart learns ways to protect itself. Over time, those patterns can feel so familiar that they simply become part of everyday life. Jesus sees every one of those places with compassion. His love reaches beyond fear, shame, and self protection, inviting each of us into the freedom of living from the new heart He has already given us.

The Christian life grows one ordinary day at a time. As Holy Spirit gently shines light on the places that still need healing, He continues the work of shaping hearts that look more like Jesus. There is hope for every step of that journey because His grace never runs out.

This Sunday, Tracy continues the conversation with Learning To Live From A New Heart. Together we’ll explore how Holy Spirit reshapes the way we think, respond, and live as people whose identity is rooted in Christ. Growth begins from within, and Jesus faithfully forms His life in those who continue to trust Him.

Life at SCC continues well beyond Sunday morning. The Digital Hub brings together this week’s blog, podcast, church updates, stories, events, and opportunities to take a next step. If you’d like to keep walking through this week’s conversation or see what’s happening around our church family, everything is waiting for you there.

One of the joys of being part of a church family is getting to know the people God has brought together. Every story reflects God’s faithfulness in a different way. Ruth Meng’s story is a beautiful reminder that faith often leads people into unexpected places. Leaving China so she and her daughter could freely follow Jesus took courage, and through every change God has remained faithful. They have become a valued part of the SCC family, and their quiet trust continues to encourage those around them.

Following Jesus always includes moments of trust that shape the journey ahead. Baptism is one of those moments. It celebrates the new life He gives and the hope found in belonging to Him.

Baptism Sunday is coming up on August 9, and if questions have been stirring in your heart, the Digital Hub has everything you need to begin that conversation.

God’s love has a way of gently rearranging the places that once seemed fixed. As Holy Spirit continues His work this week, may His presence bring fresh courage to trust Him with another step. Every place surrendered to Jesus becomes another place where His life can grow.

Thanks for being part of this church family. It’s a gift to follow Jesus together.

P.S. Someone in your life may need a simple invitation. Consider sharing this week’s message or inviting them to join you on Sunday.

If this email has been meaningful to you, feel free to share it with a friend. It’s one simple way to stay connected and invite others in.
