Hey there SCC Family !
Welcome to The Bridge Weekly. Thanks for taking a few moments to connect this week.
Jesus lived with an unbroken awareness of His Father’s presence, and through Holy Spirit He invites us into that same life today. As we learn to pause, listen, and remain close to Him, His presence shapes us one conversation, one decision, and one ordinary moment at a time.
![]() | Sunday also gave us the joy of celebrating Susan Christensen’s baptism. Every baptism tells the story of God’s grace at work in a life, and Susan’s step of faith reminded us again that Jesus is still drawing people to Himself. Congratulations, Susan! Thank you for letting us celebrate with you. |

God’s love is meant to take deep root in every part of our lives. This Sunday, Joel continues the conversation as we discover how Holy Spirit shapes us to receive that love more fully and share it with the people around us.
Church life keeps unfolding beyond what fits in one email. The Digital Hub is where you’ll find this week’s opportunities to connect, serve, worship, and grow, along with stories and resources to explore along the way.
Henk & Catherine Visser celebrated 49 years of marriage last week, a journey that began after meeting on a short term mission trip in 1973. Their story has taken them from Nigeria, where their first son was born, to Prince Edward Island, where they are now enjoying a new season of life together. They love simple rhythms like sharing coffee with Jesus each morning, biking, walking, spending time by the water, and gathering around good food with family and friends. Life is full of simple joys for them, from drives in their new sports car to quiet coffees at a local café, with meaningful relationships and conversations at the centre of it all. Their hearts continue to reflect a deep desire to walk alongside others with compassion, pointing people toward the healing and restoring love of the Father.
Worship in Unity begins long before September 12. This Saturday marks the beginning of four weeks of prayer and fasting as churches across Prince Edward Island seek Jesus together. These weeks of preparation invite us to quiet distractions, turn our attention toward Christ, and ask Holy Spirit to prepare both our hearts and our churches for what God desires to do. | This week’s prayer prompt is simple: Prepare. Before God often works through us, He graciously works within us. Set aside a little extra time this Saturday to invite Holy Spirit to search your heart, deepen your love for Jesus, and prepare you for what He desires to do. |
God’s imagination for our lives is always greater than our own. He sees possibilities we would never discover on our own and patiently leads us into them through His presence. Keep asking Him this week, “What are You wanting to show me?”
So grateful to share this life of following Jesus with you.

P.S. Don’t be surprised if God shows you something this week that you weren’t expecting.
If this email has been meaningful to you, feel free to share it with a friend. It’s one simple way to stay connected and invite others in.
