Hello SCC Family and welcome to the 28th edition of The Bridge—each week brings us closer together and deeper into our faith journey, and isn’t it surprising how quickly Thursdays come around?
This week, Tracy took us deeper into Romans 8:17-21 with her message, “Glory’s Divine Invitation.” She really opened our eyes to how we can actively engage in God’s story, not just as observers but as participants. Tracy challenged us to let go of the old baggage that skews our view of God and to fully embrace His deep love that reshapes our lives. Feeling intrigued? Check out her full talk here.
Tracy also highlighted how vital our Bible reading is, especially now that summer’s distractions are in full swing. Drawing on insights from Terra Leigh Cobble’s Bible Recap, she reminded us that every scripture points back to Jesus, which can totally transform our Bible time. Haven’t started reading yet? No worries—it’s never too late to jump in. You can grab the plan at thebiblerecap.com or on the Bible App. And if you’re a bit behind, just take it easy on yourself. It’s not about racing through but about genuinely connecting with God’s word.
Catch more of Tracy’s thoughts on how to keep your Bible study fresh and impactful in her latest Listening & Responding episode here. Let’s keep growing and exploring together!

We’re thrilled to have Tommie Zito with us this week. Tommie is a passionate evangelist focused on equipping the church to actively participate in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). His visit comes just before a series of equipping and revival meetings at Faithworks Centre (1288 Loyalist Road, Springvale, PE), running from July 14-20th at 10 am and 7 pm daily. It’s a perfect opportunity to dive deeper into what God is doing on PEI and prepare for the days ahead.
Interested in carpooling to the meetings? Whether you need a ride or can offer one, please see Greg Garant in the lobby to sign up or send us an email at [email protected].
And don’t rush off after the service—join us for Souper Sunday! We’ll be serving soup and biscuits as part of a fundraiser for our Gulu Mission team. It’s a great way to enjoy some delicious food while supporting a wonderful cause.

Imagine you’re not just a bystander in a story but a key character. That’s what Romans 8:17-21 tells us, revealing our identity as God’s children and the amazing future for us and all creation. This passage invites us to see God as He is, beyond our past teachings or misconceptions.
Being moldable like clay in a potter’s hands means staying open to being shaped into something beautiful. When faced with decisions, a shift to asking, “What does Jesus want for me?” aligns our actions with God’s larger purposes, bringing peace and clarity.
This isn’t about waiting for future glory; it’s about living in victory now, understanding our role in God’s grand plan. Each day is an opportunity to live out this divine invitation, letting it transform how we live and connect. Isn’t it exciting to think each day can change everything?

Reflecting on Paul’s journey, it’s amazing to see how one powerful encounter with Jesus on the Damascus Road completely flipped his life upside down. Paul went from a fervent Pharisee, set on defending his beliefs through persecution, to a devoted apostle who had to unlearn and relearn everything he knew about God.
This story is a vivid reminder that we all have room to grow and reexamine our beliefs, no matter how deep-rooted they might be. Whether you’ve been in the church your whole life or you’re newer to faith, there’s always something to learn about God’s nature and His plans for us.
Let’s approach this week with open hearts, ready to learn and adapt, just like Paul. It’s about staying teachable and open to the ways God wants to refine and use us. Who knows? Maybe He’s got some life-changing revelations in store for us too. Let’s be ready to embrace them and see how they can transform our understanding and deepen our faith.
Thanks for taking a moment to catch up with us in this edition of The Bridge Weekly. We love sharing this journey with you and can't wait to connect again next week!
