God’s Love | Wild, Unshakeable, All Consuming

The Bridge Weekly Vol 2 Issue 2

Hey SCC Family !

Welcome to The Bridge Weekly Vol. 2, Issue 2! It’s the second Thursday of 2025, and we’re excited to keep this journey going with you. How’s the new year treating you so far? We hope you’ve had a chance to settle in and start building rhythms that help you stay connected to God’s love and presence.

This past Sunday, Tracy reminded us of the incredible power of God’s love—a love that’s not just something to know about but something that truly changes how we live. She shared how this love moves us past fear and into trust, reshaping our actions and relationships. One way to stay connected to that love is by building daily rhythms, like practicing the “daily examen,” to reflect on where we’ve seen God at work. It’s not about the rhythm itself but creating space to meet with Jesus and let His love work in our hearts.

If you missed Sunday’s message or want to dig deeper, you can check it out HERE. Tracy’s latest Listening & Responding episode is also worth checking out. She talks about finding simple ways to connect with God’s presence daily. Watch Here. Let’s start this year by leaning into His love and letting it guide everything we do!

This Sunday, Tracy continues with God’s Love—All Consuming. This message dives into the transformative power of God’s love—a love that refines like fire, consumes all in its path, and shapes us to burn with passion for Him. From the wilderness moments where God draws near to the deep wounds His love heals, this is an invitation to surrender and be changed. Are we tending the fire of His love in our hearts? Let’s come ready to be ignited!

There’s still time to join Authentic Worship: A Journey to His Presence! This 6-week course invites you to explore the heart of worship and discover how it can transform your daily life. With biblical insights and practical steps, we’ll journey together to draw closer to Jesus through authentic worship.

🗓️ When: Sundays after church, 1–2 PM

📍 Where: Summerside Community Church

Wherever you are on your faith journey, this course offers a meaningful opportunity to deepen your connection with Him. We’d love to see you there!

The Daily Examen is a simple yet powerful way to reflect on God’s presence and love. Using the 5-Rs—Relish, Request, Review, Repent, Resolve—you can take a few moments each evening to express gratitude, seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance, reflect on your day, release regrets, and commit to living differently tomorrow. Try the evening prayer in the Lectio 365 Prayer App by 24/7 Prayer International for guided support. Learn more at 24-7prayer.com.

We’re looking for a volunteer to join our Nursery team starting in January! If you enjoy caring for little ones and helping families feel welcome, we’d love your help. The commitment is simple—just one Sunday serving, followed by two Sundays off. It’s a great way to make a difference without a huge time commitment. Your smile, care, and willingness to serve will mean so much to our youngest members and their families. Let’s partner together to create a warm, nurturing space where everyone feels at home.

We’re looking for volunteers to join our Elev8 Youth Group team on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 PM! If you’re passionate about connecting with teens and creating a fun, welcoming environment for them to grow in their faith, we’d love to have you on board. Fallen off the wagon with your Bible reading? You’re not alone, and here’s the good news—you probably read more of the Bible than before, and that’s something to celebrate! The start of a new year is the perfect time to jump back in. Whether it’s picking up where you left off or starting fresh, this is your opportunity to reconnect with God’s Word. Let’s dive back in together and keep growing!

This week’s blog, God’s Love: Wild, Unshakable, All-Consuming, reminds us of a love that goes far beyond comfort—it transforms. God’s love is like a fire that purifies and renews, shaping us into who we’re meant to be. It’s a love that steps into our broken places, not to condemn but to heal and restore.

Even in the wilderness seasons, His love is there, drawing us closer and reminding us that we’re never alone. It’s a love that asks us to trust Him, to let go of what’s holding us back, and to let His presence fill every part of our lives.

Take a moment to reflect—where do you see God’s love at work in your life right now? If you’re curious to explore more, read the blog here.

A big shoutout to Teresa Arsenault and Emily Martin for rolling up their sleeves and tackling the Christmas decorations this past week. Thanks to their teamwork, everything was packed away in record time! We’re so grateful for their willingness to step in and help out. It’s amazing people like Teresa and Emily who keep things running smoothly and remind us what being part of a community is all about!

As we head into the weekend, let’s hold onto the truth of God’s love—a love that doesn’t push, punish, or shame but gently invites us into healing and growth. God doesn’t force us to change; He meets us right where we are, offering His presence as a safe place to be real. It’s not about perfection; it’s about letting His love soften our hearts and guide our steps. This weekend, take time to sit with Him, trust His process, and embrace the kindness that transforms.

Thank you for spending time with us in this week’s edition of The Bridge Weekly! These emails take hours to prepare, and it means so much to know you’re reading and staying connected. We can’t wait to catch up again next week! Until then, may His peace guide you, His love sustain you, and His joy overflow in your heart as you walk with Him. Have a fantastic weekend!

P.S. This Sunday, we’ll dive into the all-consuming, refining fire of God’s love. It’s a love that transforms, heals, and empowers us to live fully for Him. Take some time to reflect on Song of Solomon 8:6-7, Isaiah 49:25, and Psalm 103:8-12 as you prepare your heart for the message. Let’s come ready to surrender to His love and allow it to ignite a passion for Him in our lives!
