Goodness, Mercy, and You...

The Bridge #14

Hey there SCC Family!

Welcome to Thursday number 14 of the year, and with it comes your latest edition of The Bridge Weekly. As we wrapped up our series on Psalm 23, we're reminded of the promise that goodness and mercy will chase after us all our days. It's more than a future hope—it's our reality now. The Lord's house is our home, a place of deep trust and belonging. How open are we to seeing His goodness and mercy in our lives? Let's invite His love to guide us home. Dive deeper into this idea and find more encouragement by watching Tracy's latest in the Listening & Responding series HERE.

Thought-Provoking Insights: Haven't seen Tracy’s recent sermon? It's a must-watch. She takes us through Psalm 23:6, prompting us to question who or what is truly leading us in life. Is it the divine guidance of the Good Shepherd, or are we getting sidetracked by life's numerous distractions? Tracy connects our personal struggles to growth, suggesting that facing challenges is akin to strengthening muscles through stress. Drawing from Apostle Paul's wisdom on perseverance, she reminds us that hardships can lead to hope when approached with faith. Miss the sermon? Watch it here: SUNDAY’S MESSAGE.

Bridge Builder Feature: Sandra Upshall has recently stepped up as the co-leader of our second worship team, bringing a fresh wave of energy and inspiration. But her talents don't stop at the stage. Offstage, you'll often find her in the AV room, seamlessly blending sounds and visuals to enhance our worship experience. Her commitment highlights the beauty of serving in any capacity, reminding us how every role, visible or not, deeply impacts our church family's spirit and unity.

P.S. This week, let's take a closer look at Romans 5:3-5. Imagine unravelling the layers within these verses to see how our challenges aren't just obstacles but catalysts for growth. Think about it: every hardship has the potential to strengthen our perseverance, mould our character, and deepen our hope, all while reminding us of the steadfast love of God that holds us firm. Isn't it intriguing to think that what we often see as setbacks could be stepping stones leading us closer to the heart of God? What lessons of hope and love have your own challenges revealed to you?
