A Heart like David

The Bridge #18

Hey there SCC Family!

Happy Thursday #18 and welcome to The Bridge Weekly! On Sunday, Colby shared insights on how the Holy Spirit helps cleanse and renew our spirits, drawing from Psalm 51. He talked about the constant tussle between our desires and the Spirit’s guidance, showing how the Holy Spirit steers us toward righteousness and genuine spiritual growth.

In her latest Listening & Responding episode, Tracy talks about how the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, showcasing God's deep love and truth. She connects these Godly attributes to everyday experiences and invites us to see God more clearly. What revelations might the Holy Spirit unfold for you this week?

This Sunday Highlights: This Sunday is extra special as we celebrate “10 years at home” in our building, and it's also a day to celebrate all the wonderful moms we love. Join us for cake and a reflective activity where you can jot down a favourite scripture or what you're trusting God for in the next decade, whether it’s for your life, those around you, or our community. It will be a morning packed with celebration and depth as we continue our series on the Holy Spirit. We're diving deeper into understanding the Holy Spirit's ever-present role in our lives, moving beyond the notion that His influence is reserved for rare spiritual moments. We'll explore how He consistently guides us toward God's will and purposes, enriching our daily walk with Him.

Next Week! 🧹 Join us for our outdoor cleanup on May 15th and 16th. We could really use your help to get our grounds looking great. If you're available and willing to assist, please click the button below to sign up. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and make a significant impact!

Thought-Provoking Insights: King David’s heartfelt cry in Psalm 51 really hits home, doesn’t it? He’s asking for a fresh start and a strong spirit—something we might all find ourselves needing at times. Ever find yourself seeking a fresh start or a renewed spirit? David’s journey through repentance shows us it’s okay to seek change. What areas in your life might need a reset, and how could opening up to God steer you towards a brighter path?

Heading into this weekend, let’s really tune into the quiet moments. Remember how Elijah found God in a gentle whisper, not in the loud chaos? It’s in those soft, quiet moments where we often hear God’s voice the clearest. When you feel a bit unsettled or notice something’s different, why not take a moment to explore what's happening? Turn to wonder instead of worry, chat with God about it—He knows exactly what’s going on and can bring a peace like no other. What might you discover in the silence this weekend?
