The Holy Spirit is our gift and guide

The Bridge #17

Hey there SCC Family!

Welcome to the 17th Thursday of 2024 and your latest edition of The Bridge Weekly! This May 12th, we're hitting a big milestone—“10 years at home” in our wonderful building. It's been a decade filled with community building and so much growth. Let’s take a moment to appreciate all the memories and progress we've made together. If you missed last week's message from Tracy, she explored the many roles of the Holy Spirit—as a gift, friend, comforter, and guide—drawing from Acts 2:38-39. She illuminated how the Spirit not only deepens our capacity for love but also equips us with gifts that strengthen our community. Catch up on Tracy’s message below.

Also, in her latest Listening & Responding episode, Tracy shares personal stories about how the Holy Spirit has reshaped her life and work. From engaging encounters during street evangelism to significant personal growth, she shows how the Spirit's influence can be life-changing. Check it out and see what changes the Holy Spirit might spark in you this week!

This Sunday Highlights: This Sunday, our series on the Holy Spirit continues with a focus on the Spirit’s role in sanctifying believers and nurturing personal growth and holiness. Additionally, copies of R.T. Kendall’s "The Sensitivity of the Spirit" are available for $25 at the Hub. Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to work through me to impact others for God’s kingdom? It’s an invitation to step into a life of service and purpose, moving beyond our comfort zones to impact the world in meaningful ways. Find out your gift with this SPIRITUAL GIFT TEST.

This approach not only enriches relationships but also aligns us more closely with God's will. How might allowing the Holy Spirit to lead your interactions change the way you connect with others this week? Are you ready to embrace this shift?

P.S. This week, take a look at Acts 2:38-39 and think about the amazing invitation Peter offers us. Reflect on the promise of the Holy Spirit and ask yourself what might be holding you back from fully welcoming this gift. Imagine how your daily life could transform if you were more aware of the His presence. What can you do to strengthen your relationship with the Holy Spirit? Let’s consider how we can invite more of Him into our everyday experiences.
