Living a Poured-Out Life—Are You Ready?

The Bridge Weekly Vol 2 Issue 11

Hey SCC Family !

Welcome to The Bridge Weekly Vol. 2, Issue 11—where sometimes the most impactful moments come when we’re willing to give our all. This week, Joel’s message reminds us that living a “poured out” life means letting go of our own comforts so that others can see Jesus in us. He points to the woman in Matthew 26, who poured out expensive perfume on Jesus—a bold act of worship that, though deemed wasteful by some, prepared Him for His burial and revealed His true heart. Through his P.O.U.R. approach—Repentance as a lifestyle, being Open to the Spirit, Unity in love, and living Prayerfully—we’re encouraged to let our sacrifices, whether in time, resources, or kindness, become a living testimony to His grace. So, what can you pour out this week?

As always, below are buttons with links to the blog and the Between the Shores podcast.

This Sunday, Tracy wraps up our “Crushed, Poured, Prepared: Faith That Doesn’t Quit” series with “Ready for the Bridegroom: A Mature Faith in an Age of Confusion.” She invites us to live with an eternal perspective—preparing every day for Christ’s return rather than waiting for a crisis to spark our faith. Tracy reminds us that readiness is a lifestyle, balancing our daily acts of faith with a long-term commitment to follow Jesus. With the urgency of the parable of the bridesmaids in mind, she encourages us to examine our hearts: if Christ returned today, would we be ready to join the wedding feast?

Join us Fridays from March 21 – April 11 (11:30 AM – 12:30 PM) for Lenten Lunches. Each gathering includes a 30-minute Lent service with music and a short devotion, followed by soup & biscuits. Come and support Tracy as she speaks at St. Paul’s on March 21st.

“I am in the mountains of Oaxaca right now. We are trying to open up missions with a tribe called the Triqui.” - Josue Ruse

Throughout March, 10% of our General Fund is going to Kaleo International as they equip leaders and share Jesus worldwide. Kaleo Central in Kenya serves as the main base for their work in East Africa, where the goal is to complete 15 church buildings this year. These churches began as humble house gatherings—meeting under trees until the congregation outgrew their space—and now, local communities are acquiring land and even making their own bricks. With materials for essentials like trusses and a metal roof costing around $1500 CAD, Josue Muse highlights this as the greatest need right now. Your generosity makes a real impact, spreads the gospel, empowers others on their faith journey, and supports these transformative building projects. Thank you for giving and being part of sharing the good news of Jesus to the remote corners of the world.

Our Total so far is $1,495!!

As we wrap up this issue, remember that our anointing calls us to be poured out for Jesus—sacrificing our own comforts so His love can overflow in us. Here’s our challenge; consider what we’re willing to let go of, just like the woman who anointed Jesus with costly perfume, so that our lives can become a powerful testimony to His grace. May we embrace this call with open hearts and let our sacrifices shine His light in the world.

Thanks for checking out this week’s Bridge Weekly! We’re glad you’re part of the conversation and hope you walk in God’s peace, love, and joy this week. We look forward to sharing more soon!

P.S. Remember, when we pour out our lives in service and love, God fills us anew, making our surrender a beautiful act of worship.
