Mercy Crosses the Line

Grace welcomes us all.

Hey there SCC Family !

Welcome to The Bridge Weekly Vol 3. Issue 29!
Every family has moments that reveal what’s really in our hearts. Last Sunday, Joel opened Romans and reminded us that the mercy we’ve received through Jesus reshapes the way we see the people around us. As God gathers people from every background into one family, He gently teaches us to love with the same grace He has shown us.

The gospel leaves no room for “us” and “them.” In Christ, every one of us stands on the same ground, receiving mercy and learning to extend it to others.

Thank you to Isaac Gillis for sharing what God has been doing through his time with YWAM New Zealand this past Sunday. Please continue praying for him as he prepares to return in November for his practical outreach, and be sure to watch his story if you missed it.

Jonah knew God was merciful, and that was exactly what troubled him. This Sunday, Joel will lead us through Jonah’s story and the honest question at its centre: are our hearts becoming more like Jonah’s, or more like Jesus?

Deborah Reid has called Summerside home for the past 20 years, though her story began in the rolling hills of Stanley Bridge, where she grew up as one of 12 siblings. She treasures time with her two daughters, long drives along Island dirt roads, quiet moments watching sunrises and sunsets, and visits with family and friends. Deborah has a gift for caring for others, shaped through her years as a live in caregiver and housekeeper, and her cheerful presence is a blessing to our church family. Deborah, we’re so thankful you’re part of the SCC family.

We love you for who you are. We’re thankful you’re part of this family.

Every family brings different stories, perspectives, and experiences. Jesus is patient as He shapes us into one people, teaching us to love, forgive, and grow together through His Spirit. As we continue to follow Him, He keeps making room in our hearts for one another..

Thanks for being part of this church family. We’re grateful to be following Jesus together.

P.S. Ask Jesus to show you someone through His eyes today.
