One Step at a Time

Life with Jesus unfolds through attentiveness, trust, and response.

Hey there SCC Family !

Welcome to The Bridge Weekly Vol 3. Issue 25!
Most of us can walk and text. Few of us should.

Heather reminded us this past Sunday that life with Jesus grows through attentiveness. As we remain close to Him, Holy Spirit teaches us to listen, trust, and respond, shaping our lives through the ordinary moments of each day.

Take a few moments this week to pause, give your attention to Jesus, and notice where He may be leading.

Explore this week’s blog and podcast for a deeper look at how Holy Spirit forms us into the likeness of Jesus. Click the images to read and listen.

This Sunday, Joel will continue our series on Holy Spirit as we explore how God forms lives marked by peace, clarity, and steadiness. Together we’ll consider how Holy Spirit keeps us rooted in the unshakable Kingdom of Jesus when life feels noisy, uncertain, or distracting.

Gordon Waugh was born on PEI and has spent most of his life within a few miles of Bedeque. He and Ruth-Anne have shared 49 years of marriage together and are thankful to have much of their family close by. Gordon still enjoys farming alongside his brother and nephew, playing pickleball, travelling in their RV, and spending time with family.

Known for his friendly nature and love for people, Gordon often jokes that no matter what airport he finds himself in, he’s always looking for someone he knows. His steady faithfulness, warm conversations, and genuine care for others have been a gift to our church family. Gordon, we’re grateful you’re part of this community.

We love you for who you are. We’re thankful you’re part of this family.

Life with Jesus was never meant to be lived alone. Take a few minutes to explore what’s happening at SCC, find a place to connect, or discover a team where you can serve and grow. We’d love to help you take your next step.

Keeping in step with someone requires attention. Over time, you learn their pace, recognize their voice, and grow in trust as you walk together. As you move through the week ahead, may you find moments to slow down, remain close to Jesus, and follow the gentle leading of Holy Spirit.

Thanks for being part of this church family. It’s a gift to keep learning to follow Jesus together.

P.S. Where might Jesus be inviting you to pay a little closer attention this week?

If this email has been meaningful to you, feel free to share it with a friend. It’s one simple way to stay connected and invite others in.
