Step Into the Water
A quiet invitation to listen, trust, and follow Jesus.

Hey there SCC Family !
Welcome to The Bridge Weekly Vol 3. Issue 21!
Standing near moving water can make a person pause for a moment. Some places feel calm and familiar while other parts pull toward something deeper. Faith often unfolds that way too as Jesus continues inviting people to trust Him one step at a time.
This past Sunday pointed us toward the quiet, steady work of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost reminds us that God still comes near, still fills His people, and still leads them toward Jesus. As this week unfolds, may there be space to slow down, listen well, and remain open to His voice.
There’s no new Between the Shores podcast this week, though you can still explore past conversations through the playlist below. This week’s blog continues the conversation around listening to the Holy Spirit and learning to follow Jesus in everyday life.

This Sunday, Heather will continue our Pentecost focus by exploring how the Holy Spirit fills ordinary people with courage, presence, and purpose. Together we’ll reflect on God’s desire to dwell with His people and how the Spirit continues leading everyday lives toward Jesus

We’re creating space to celebrate birthdays as a church family this year. You can add your birthday to the jar at the Hub or use the button below to email the office so we can celebrate with you in the months ahead.

Scott & Heather Nash have been married for nearly 23 years and have built a life filled with family, friendship, and welcoming people into their home. Together they share a combined family of nine adult children, six grandchildren, and Beau, their dog, who Heather says is “the cutest one on the whole planet.” They enjoy spending time with their grandkids, heading out for breakfast together, and filling their home with conversation and connection. For the past 15 years, Celebrate Recovery has been part of their rhythm of life and care for people. Scott enjoys gardening, building things, and spending time discipling men one on one, while Heather loves baking, technology, and encouraging younger women in their walk with Jesus. Their lives carry a deep love for Kingdom work and creating space where people feel seen, welcomed, and encouraged.
We love you for who you are. We’re thankful you’re part of this family.

Take a step into the life of our church this week. You can explore what’s coming up, find a place to connect, or join a team as you’re ready. We’d love to help you find your place.
The Holy Spirit does not force His way into people’s lives, yet He remains near and continues inviting people toward deeper trust in Jesus. As this new week begins, may there be courage to open the door a little wider, welcome His presence, and follow where He leads.
Thanks for being part of this church family. It’s a gift to walk with Jesus together.

P.S. Holy Spirit, come.
If this email has been meaningful to you, feel free to share it with a friend. It’s one simple way to stay connected and invite others in.
