Welcome to The Bridge Weekly Vol. 2, Issue 7—where we’re charting new waters of faith without drifting into the ordinary. This past Sunday, Joel shared how trials refine our faith like olives crushed for oil, reminding us that God remains at work, even in the pressing seasons. This Sunday, Joel wraps up our “Fruitfulness Under Pressure” series with part two, Strength in the Oil. Building on last week’s focus on crushing, he’ll show how trials can deepen our faith instead of derailing it. Ephesians 4 points us toward maturity in Christ—where focused faith, perseverance, and holiness help us break free from “circling the mountain.” Like olives pressed in Gethsemane, renewed strength emerges when we surrender to God’s refining process.

Join us for the Chronic Pain Workshop on February 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Centre 150, Summerside. This free, 3-hour workshop will explore how chronic pain conditions like back or neck pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, and pelvic pain develop—and, more importantly, how to reverse them. I’m so grateful for how insightful and encouraging this mission trip has been. It’s a privilege to serve and see God’s work firsthand. A standout moment from day two was meeting with the executive director and speech/autism therapist at the Children’s Home—the only orphanage on Grand Bahama and nearby islands. Their genuine love and integrity create a special place where each child feels valued. Your prayers and support mean so much—thank you for standing with Jenny and me. I’m excited for what God will do next!

As we head into the coming weekend, let’s hold onto the image of olives being pressed for oil. Trials might feel slow and crushing, but they often bring out the best in us—drawing out the “oil” that fuels our faith. Jesus showed us that real maturity grows through trust and perseverance, not shortcuts or easy answers. May the Holy Spirit guide you in each moment, helping you respond with courage and grace. Together, let’s lean on Him, support one another, and keep our lamps burning brightly for what’s ahead.
