The Bridge #12

Are we ready to let God’s anointing change us?

Hey there SCC Family,

As we gather our thoughts and look ahead, I'm thrilled to introduce a fresh chapter for us: "The Bridge Weekly." It’s not just a new name for our weekly email; it’s a reimagining of how we connect Sunday's service with the rest of our week. This newsletter is our bridge, a shared journey that brings us closer, offering deep reflections and the vibrant stories that shape our community. That being said, we are changing our emailing platform from MailChimp to BeeHiiv so if you want to continue to receive our emails, you might want to add this email address [email protected] to your address book. Otherwise, it might just go to your junk inbox.

From Psalms to Practice: Embodying Humility This Week
Diving into the Psalms opens us to a conversation between The Good Shepherd and the devoted, revealing the heart of Jesus and His trust in the Father. It's not about pushing harder but leaning deeper into trust. This Holy Week, we're invited to reflect: How does the humility of carrying Jesus within us, like a donkey into Jerusalem, shape our service to others? How do we become mirrors of His light? Let's choose to serve, listen, and elevate others, reflecting Jesus in our actions. For more inspiring insights, check out Tracy’s "Listening & Responding" series, a guide through our shared journey. Dive in here.

Thought-Provoking Insights: Have you ever thought about what it means to be anointed by God? It's not about basking in our glory but about stepping into a role of humble service, just as Jesus did. In his message on Sunday, Josh drew this line between chasing after what the world sees as success and seeking the kind of life that Jesus calls us to—a life of serving others. This anointing prepares us, shields us, and strengthens us not just for any mission, but for God’s mission. It's about having our cups overflow, not just for ourselves, but so we can pour into those around us. How does this idea sit with you? Are we ready to let God’s anointing change us, to impact the world around us in meaningful ways? In case you missed it, check out Josh’s incredible message: Sunday’s Message

Bridge Builder Feature:
Ever noticed how some people just have a knack for making everyone feel included? That's Nancy for you. Her warm welcomes, meaningful chats, and the flair she brings with worship flags aren't just tasks; they're her way of weaving us into a closer-knit community. Our church isn't just a building; it's a family. Through her actions, Nancy is a true bridge builder, connecting us in ways that truly matter. Isn't it wonderful how the smallest actions can have such a huge impact?

Stay Tuned and Get Involved: We absolutely love seeing you engage with us. It's how we all stay in the loop, dive into activities, and grow closer. Haven't jumped into Nucleus yet? Click here to check it out and unlock a whole new world of connection and community.

As we head into this weekend, let's think about where we are being called to serve, how we let our cups overflow, and which roads we'll walk down, led by our Good Shepherd.

Until next time, stay blessed.

Tracy

P.S. This week let's take a deep dive into 1 John 2:27 and discover how it talks about the amazing anointing we all receive from Him. This verse reminds us to stay loyal and genuine in our beliefs. It's like a gentle nudge to trust in His truth and let it lead us, especially during challenging times. Just imagine how incredible it would be to stay strong in our faith, no matter what comes our way. So, why not give it a try?

Loving The Bridge Weekly? Why not share it with a buddy? It's a small move, but it's hugely appreciated. Each email takes quite a bit of time to put together, and your backing means everything to us!
