Other updates— the plastic bin we shipped with the projector and basketballs was last scanned at Toronto Pearson and has not been located. Please pray it arrives, they would really like this at World Embrace. They have scheduled their arrival home to a new date and will arrive back on PEI, February 10 at 11:30 pm. They still hope to share on Sunday, Feb 12 but Josh has agreed to be on standby. As we have more updates we will let you know. They appreciate all your prayers.

Tax Receipts will be available for pick up after the Sunday Celebration in the lobby.

6-WEEK MENTORSHIP TRAINING

Starting Wednesday, February 15,Wind Ministries is launching a NEW 6-Week Prophetic Mentorship; Engaging in Wisdom & Revelation.

For those called to the lifestyle of revelatory ministry. This course is designed to help you engage with wisdom and revelation and gain a deeper desire to move into the movement of the Spirit, to grow in equipping others, and to establish a revelatory ministry in your communities.

Why is prophetic mentorship important?Prophetic ministry needs guidelines just like a train needs tracks. Far too often we have seen prophetic ministry derailed, sidelined and disused in the church. Sometimes the misuse or abuse has even led to a crash.

Instituting guidelines provides a way for the gift of prophecy, along with other revelatory gifts, to be released safely and effectively without hindering their God-intended purpose.

PRAYER MINISTRY TEAMS

At Summerside Community Church we believe that prayer is our power.  Prayer is for everyone and for certain situations we do have a specifically trained prayer team.

Grades Two and Up are studying various subjects moving into the Fall season. Our attention is going to be focused on Jesus Our Healer. Each lesson may take two or more weeks to cover and includes additional scriptures to add more depth to each subject area.

Kits of Kindness

Kits of Kindness was launched through Cornerstone’s church in October 2020. It began as a response to the issue of food insecurity many school-age children face across our province. The program currently feeds 284 students in 23 schools across our province each week. SCC Missions has taken on 55 of the students in the Summerside elementary schools area. As we seek to feed as many children who need it, our prayer continues to be that these children and their families will feel encouraged and supported as they will see the heart of the church and the love of Christ in action. If you feel led to help in any way please reach out.Ways you can help: Packing, delivery, donating funds/specific food items, or sponsoring one or two children for $30 per month per child. For more information contact Colby Lidstone ([email protected]) or Deb Howatt ([email protected]).

Ongoing Prayer For Chesley Chaisson

 A Message from Leslie

Chesley is doing better every day. He is getting stronger and this week has started practicing some steps with his walker. His spirits are so good, sometimes I think mine are much worse than his and I feel guilty about that because how could I possibly be sadder than him? He definitely has his days, and I think his way of coping has been quiet, spending a tremendous amount of time alone with Jesus. He says he would not make it through this storm without Him. He is emotional and overwhelmed by the love and generosity, prayers and messages just to say hi and check-in. S

ometimes he feels like maybe he forgets to respond to a message, and he never wants anyone to think he doesn’t appreciate messages or prayers, just sometimes he has to put the phone away and just be.

We are so very thankful from the bottom of our hearts.
