A MESSAGE FROM OPEN DOOR OUTREACH

If your child is ill, please wait until they are feeling better.

Grades Two and Up are studying various subjects moving into the Fall season.  Our attention is going to be focused on Jesus Our Healer. Each lesson may take two or more weeks to cover and includes additional scriptures to add more depth to each subject area.

Kits of Kindness

Kits of Kindness launched through Cornerstone’s church in October 2020. It began as a response to the issue of food insecurity many school-age children face across our province. The program currently feeds 284 students in 23 schools across our province each week. SCC Missions has taken on 55 of the students in the Summerside elementary schools area. As we seek to feed as many children who need it, our prayer continues to be that these children and their families will feel encouraged and supported as they will see the heart of the church and the love of Christ in action.  If you feel led to help in anyway please reach out.Ways you can help: Packing, delivery, donating funds/specific food items, or sponsoring one or two children for $30 per month per child.  For more information contact Colby Lidstone ([email protected]) or Deb Howatt ([email protected]).

LAST WEEK'S MESSAGE

Tracy and Colby’s Trip toWorld Embrace in Gulu Uganda

Pray for them as they journey to Uganda and spend time to discern what the Lord is calling us into with the possibilities of working with World Embrace. They experienced major delays due to weather and are now leaving on Friday January 27th at 5:50pm, through Toronto to Dubai (13hrs) and then a layover in Dubai for 10hours and finally arriving in Entebbe, Uganda at 10:30am local. They will meet their hosts, Reynold and Kathy Mainse and travel 6 hours up north to Gulu. They both can see God in the details of the changes and would appreciate your continued prayers for their protection, their health and they would see what they need to see to make good decisions for the future! Pray for Andrew and Shirley Bryce as they will join them on Tuesday, January 31st and be part of all the things God has in store!

Ongoing Prayer For Chesley Chaisson

Continue to pray for Chesley's ongoing recovery. Chesley continues to be in good spirits, he is very thankful and positive. He has been cleared to some partial weight bearing with a walker, and that has been tough! He has good pain control/ tolerance so that is helpful. Leslie is asking for prayer for strength to keep everything going without burning out. She is balancing Chesley, the kids, the home and work.

CANADIAN FIREWALL

We are building up a community of intercessors who will keep the fires burning. Join us. Share us. Like us. Pray with us any time, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are accessible to everyone.

Thank you to the National House of Prayer for leading on-going prayer for our Nation. Sign Up Here for the Newsletter

MISSIONS

Tracy & Colby are heading to Gulu from January 27 - February 8

We have been building a relationship with World Embrace for the last 5 years and we have been financially supporting their work in Gulu, Uganda. The Missions Team has decided it's time to take an exploratory trip to see if this is the place for SCC to further invest in international kingdom building for the future.

Please be praying for us as we minister in Gulu and discern the Father’s voice for our future with World Embrace.
