Summerside Community Church is committed to providing a learning environment for youth to gain ministry experience during the summer.

Julianna Gillis, 2019 Summer Student Intern shares this:

"My summer internship at the church had a significantly positive influence on me. It provided me with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the community, instilling a sense of purpose and fulfillment within me. By engaging with diverse individuals and undertaking valuable projects, I acquired new skills, expanded my network, and developed a deeper appreciation for the significance of faith and compassion in our daily lives."

Julianna is now part of leading SCC's Young Adults Group, she is an entrepreneur who has her own photography business (Juleskye Photography) and works part-time doing social marketing work for a local business. God is doing good things in Julianna's life. Thank you for being part of her development!

This year, we need to raise $4000.00 to compensate our summer student due to our exclusion from the Federal Summer Student Grant Program. We are seeking financial assistance from individuals who have a heart for the next generation. If you would like to contribute, above your regular giving or through a pledge, we would greatly appreciate it. Donations can be made through cash, cheque,

, or eTransfer, designated towards 'summer student.' All donations are tax receipt-able.

We will be raising funds throughout June and accepting pledged funds to be fulfilled by the end of July. If you wish to pledge, please email us with 'yes' and include the amount you would like to donate. The funds must be received by July 30th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at

. Thank you for your support and generosity

Our SCC intern will have opportunities in a hands-on environment to further understand the day-to-day operations of church ministry, the formulation of ministry goals, their execution, and the importance of dependence on the Holy Spirit's leading.

SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

Our weekly 'Pause & Reflect' was paused this week but we encourage you, if you haven't already, to click the image below to check out Tracy's video from last week.

Josh Muse & Friends will be leading worship and sharing their message on Sunday, July 16.  We are very excited to host them and will be taking up a free-will offering to help support the work they do around the world.

More about Josh:

Joshua Muse along with his wife Olivia are the founding directors of Kaleo International. Together they oversee both the missions organization and network of Kaleo churches around the world. They are the founding pastors of Kaleo Reynosa a multi-location church in the city of Reynosa, Mexico where they reside.  They have 2 children Caleb and Sarah. Joshua continues to travel and minister around the world.
