SCC Weekly Updates

JOIN US THIS WEEKEND!

We look forward to being together on Sunday! Every Sunday is a little different and this week we look forward to engaging in worship with our New Wine Worship team, sharing Communion together and engaging in a message from our Teaching Team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Our service begins at 10:00 am. Pre-Service Prayer for the service is open to anyone who would like to attend. Join us from 9:30 - 9:50 am on Sundays.

If you or someone in your family is not feeling well, we encourage you to join us on Facebook or YouTube by using the links below.

We welcome you to our Sunday Celebration In-Person at Centre 150.

PRAYER AND WORSHIP

Centre 150 is open Thursdays, from 9:00-12:00 pm as a special space for spending time with the Lord. From 9:00-10:00 am we will have a time of interactive prayer and live worship. From 10:00 - Noon we will have music only.

Due to the weather and timing, we will be working on some outdoor projects this evening at 6:30pm if you would like to join us, many hands make light work.  Come prepared with any of your favourite garden tools, gloves and old clothes.

THIS SATURDAY

In honour of Father's Day, the Men's Breakfast on June 10th will be held at 10 am instead of the usual 8:00 am. And guess what? We're switching things up and serving a scrumptious BBQ lunch instead of the regular breakfast. We're super excited to have Samuel Stretch share some words with us.

We'll have a bunch of fun yard games like washer toss, corn hole, crochet, bocce ball, frisbee, and more. However, the highlight of the day will undoubtedly be our very first Annual Egg Throwing Contest, where we'll even award a trophy to the winner. A donation of $10/per family is requested.

Fathers, come with your sons, and sons, come with your fathers.

The Annual Report was presented on Sunday, May 28th, in case you missed it, you can click below to find a pdf copy of it.

We encourage you to take some time to explore the report and celebrate the incredible ways our church has flourished in the past year. Your commitment and contributions have played a vital role in making all of this possible, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.

SCC is seeking a part-time Maintenance Lead responsible for the general upkeep and operation of their church property. The ideal candidate, preferably a church member, should possess handyman skills and a passion for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Summerside Community Church is committed to providing a learning environment for youth to gain ministry experience during the summer. For over 20 years, we have offered a Summer Student position. Our interns learn new skills that benefit the church while discovering their purpose as designed by God. This opportunity has a positive impact on their future and exposes them to various vocational paths.

This year, we need to raise $4000.00 to compensate our summer student due to our exclusion from the Federal Summer Student Grant Program. We are seeking financial assistance from individuals who have a heart for the next generation. If you would like to contribute, above your regular giving or through a pledge, we would greatly appreciate it. Donations can be made through cash, cheque,

, or eTransfer, designated towards 'summer student.' All donations are tax receipt-able.

We will be raising funds throughout June and accepting pledged funds to be fulfilled by the end of July. If you wish to pledge, please email us with 'yes' and include the amount you would like to donate. The funds must be received by July 30th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at

. Thank you for your support and generosity

Our SCC intern will have opportunities in a hands-on environment to further understand the day-to-day operations of church ministry, the formulation of ministry goals, their execution, and the importance of dependence on the Holy Spirit's leading.
