Weekly Update December 7

Embrace Your True Home in Jesus

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."Isaiah 40:31

Hello,

Navigating life's challenges

during this Advent season calls for more than resilience; it demands genuine hope in God.  Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that true strength comes from anchoring our hope in the promises of God. As we reflect, may our hearts be filled with renewed hope and strength, trusting in God's unwavering promises.

Join us in bringing joy to families in need this Christmas!

Every year we do a Christmas blessing where we focus on supporting families in need. This year we will support families as well as single mothers who rely on the Island Pregnancy Centre. We understand that not everyone can contribute financially, but there are other meaningful ways to give.

We're seeking 20 individuals to share a heartfelt message, scripture, or prayer in a Christmas card that will be included with the Christmas Blessing gifts. Let's spread God's love and make a difference in someone's life this Christmas!

SUNDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO PASS IN THESE CARDS!

Join us for a special Christmas Eve service at 11 AM! Mark your calendars for December 24th and get ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus with us. PLEASE NOTE: This year, we'll be starting at 11:00 am instead of our usual 10:00 am, so make sure to adjust your schedule accordingly. Join us with your loved ones for an hour of worshipping our Saviour. We can't wait to share this special time with you!Church Family Update: Jack and Colby are set to journey to Reynosa, Mexico, on February 1, to connect with Josh Muse, the Founder of Kaleo International. This trip is an opportunity to continue to build relationships and explore future ministry with Kaleo. Your ongoing support is deeply appreciated as we work towards witnessing the Kingdom of God thriving globally. Donations are welcome until January 21. Mark your donations for Kaleo International. Thank you for being a vital part of our shared mission and journey together.

The latest installment of the "I Am" statements of Jesus series explores John 14:6, where Jesus declares himself as the way, the truth, and the life. Tracy connects universal human longing to Jesus as the ultimate counsellor, delving into the Garden of Eden narrative and God's ongoing engagement with humanity. She highlights God's promise of eternal life and invites us to trust in Jesus, embrace discipleship, and enjoy the rich life He provides. Join us on YouTube for this past Sunday's Message I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, as we discuss the biblical narrative and Jesus' proclamation as the fulfillment of humanity's deep longing for a full life in the Father's house.

In Tracy's "Listening & Responding" Segment, she explores Jesus as the TRUTH, unravelling how deception and a self-made reality lead us astray. The desire to blend Jesus with personal preferences creates a destructive mix. Drawing parallels to failed attempts at utopia, Tracy highlights Jesus' trial, where he declares his purpose to testify to the truth. Pilate's question, "What is truth?" echoes through the ages, with Jesus embodying the answer. Truth, as Tracy underscores, aligns with God's design and isn't subjective. She challenges listeners to embrace Jesus as the ultimate Truth, transforming every aspect of life. Watch the recap HERE.

Join Us for Church. We would love to have you join us for Sunday service at 10 a.m. with pre-service prayer beginning at 9:15 a.m. If you can't attend in person, you can still connect with us through our YouTube channel. "Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." (Hebrews 10:23-25) We can't wait to see you!
