Weekly Update November 2

Immerse yourself in His Word to find rest!

Hello, Just like that, it's Thursday again! We hope your week has been filled with blessings and grace. Don't forget to set your clocks back this weekend for Daylight Savings Time! This weekend, we celebrate 26 years as Summerside Community Church! God is so good, and there is so much to be thankful for. Over the years, we have embarked on numerous adventures with the Lord that have led us, as a family, into loving and serving together—whether within the church, the community around us, the nation, or the world. We are so grateful for each one of you, and we are delighted that you are here for such a time as this!As a people of encounter, we center our lives on Jesus and recognize that our relationships with fellow believers and neighbours are of immense value. Being known and knowing others is an essential part of our growth. As we've shared, people are not problems to be solved but mysteries to discover. You are so welcome here!We act Relationally:We have wonderful teams that love to serve together and experience life as they share their unique talents and passions. If you haven't connected with an SCC Serving Team yet, we encourage you to explore volunteer opportunities that align with your interests and values by taking this quiz. We believe that who you are and your contribution, no matter how small, has the power to create positive change in the lives of others. We think Missionally: Consider the Loaves and Fishes initiative here in Summerside. There's a table in the lobby where you can contribute items that make a significant difference in the lives of those in need in Summerside. Currently, they are in need of various items; please see the list at the table in the church lobby. Your generosity truly matters. Consider helping to serve at the weekday Salvation Army daily lunches. The time commitment is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can choose to volunteer either once every two weeks or every week for a month, followed by a month off, based on your availability and preference. Your assistance in serving and cleaning up during these lunches has a significant impact on those in need. If you're interested in volunteering, please sign up here.Ladies, we can't wait to welcome you tomorrow night at The Table || A Place for Women.
