Currently, they're in need of various items, including pill bottles (any size, please remove the label), new ziplock bags (any size), reusable shopping bags, printable labels, gas cards, grocery cards, recycling bottles and cans with deposits, as well as non-perishable items like tomato paste, flour, baking supplies, eggs, kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas, pasta of any kind, and surplus fruits, potatoes, or vegetables. Your generosity matters.Serving those in need in Summerside. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful mission. Remember, even the smallest contributions can create ripples of positive change in the lives of those less fortunate.Last Week's Sermon- In case you missed it, here's the link to last week's sermon. In this powerful message, Josh emphasized the value of a culture of affection and love contributing to true rest and transformation. Watch the sermon HERE.If you missed our recent "Listening & Responding" livestream series, here's a brief summary. Tracy explored Matthew 11:25-27, where Jesus praised the Father for revealing His ways to those who approach Him with childlike humility. Thinking we have figured it all out and striving to seek success the world's way, leads to all sorts of unrest and anxiety. Like a child, knowing our needs and depending on the Father is the only way to real rest. Keeping our eyes on Jesus and fostering daily connections with the Father are essential. This week's question is, how are you letting go of unnecessary burdens? Read Hebrews 3 & 4 through the lens of rest. Embrace the message of rest and let God define your path. Tune in to the latest episode HERE.Join Us for Church on Sunday at 10 a.m. If you can't make it in person, you can still connect with us through our YouTube channel. Before the service, we gather for a time of prayer in the multi-purpose room from 9:15 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Your presence contributes to the depth of our worship, and we look forward to sharing this meaningful time with you.Stay connected and informed about all our events, including giving, by visiting our website. Your active involvement and support are pivotal in maintaining the vibrancy of our SCC community. Thank you for your vital role in our faith community. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday! P.S. What is one thing that you are holding on to that you can release? Remember, rest is not mere passivity but a deep understanding of God's presence with us daily. It involves ceasing to strive against worldly concerns, being aware of God's tender presence throughout the day, surrounding ourselves with people who actually see us, and giving up the fight to figure it all out ourselves. Knowing God leads to true rest and transformation. Pray this with me… “Father will you anchor my heart on the deeply confident truth that you are never far from any of us. Teach me again the joy of walking through my day, are of your constant presence. From the knowledge of your love to be sweet to me again.” Amen
